I am trying to write an application that will allow Pay Items to be assigned to selected materials based on the drawing database. From what I can gather, the information is stored as X-Data.
Does anyone know how I can assign the pay item with code to preselected entities? Is there a command (transparent) in the user interface that is selecting the pay item from the catalog?
Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still working on something similar and this helped me get some of what I needed. The "GetXData" helped me find out what I needed to change in the code to have Civil 3D recognize the added XDATA in the "QTO Manager".
