Alignment created from poly-line

Even though we ask designers not to create Alignments by converting from poly-lines - they still do...  : (

Is there a way in the API to establish if the selected Alignment was created by converting from a poly-line?

I don't think so, but you could look through the alignment's geometry looking for the signs that the alignment was created from a polyline.

Why? That seems like a foolish request.  Most streets are defined by offsets of other objects, right-of-way, property lines, boundaries, etc., not alignments.
