universal text edit

A previous employer had a single command that would edit dtext, mtext, dims & attributes. Does any one have something similar?

grab TextEditX from www.stardsign.com under free programs.

This will also edit schedule data, schedules and aec tags

This may sound stupid, but why not just use the double-click edit
funtionality of ADT 2i, 3 or 3.3? It's context sensitive, and gives you the
correct editor every time.
