mvblockadd command - two versions?????

Problem using mvblockadd command in a routine for an associate. We get different options at the command prompt!
I get this:
Command: MVBLOCKADD
Insert point or [NAme/X scale/Y scale/Z scale/Rotation/Match]:

He gets this:
Command: MVBLOCKADD
Insert point or [NAme/Rotation/Match]:

For me, I can give it a NAme, then an insertion point, and the mvblock gets placed. For him, after NAme he gets prompted for Scale, which I never get. He gets the same options whether in ACA R2010 or R2012. And I get the same options whether in ACA R2010 or R2012. What the heck?!?!?

Can't tell you why the difference but in my 2012 for the MVBLOCKADD command I get:

Insert point or [NAme/X scale/Y scale/Z scale/Rotation/Match]:

ADN came through with the answer to this:

the command line option changes depending on the setting on the property palette >> “Specify scale on screen” option.  (The image attached below).  By default, it is set to “No”.  I believe your customer has this et to “Yes”.

I can see this value is save under the Windows system registry key here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.2\ACAD-A004:409\Profiles\AutoCAD Architecture (US Metric)\Dialogs\AecUtilities60-MultiViewBlockAdd

You may try checking this value before you are calling your command.

What a screwball way of doing things! No one outside of Autodesk seemed to know the answer. Anyway, I was able to read the registry as suggested to answer the command prompts correctly regardless of the settings (this applies to the Rotation option as well).
