expanding automatic property sets of doors

I am looking for help in adding automatic property sets to those already defined for doors. Our office does nothing but schools, and we have boiled our door types down to about 15 assemblies that we use most frequently. Since ALL of these sets receive the same finish, same hardware, etc., we would like to develop a door symbol (aec content) that includes all of this information, so that all we have to do to create a door schedule for an opening is pick the correct assembly type. The door size, material, finish, frame type, material, finish, head detail#, jamb detail#, sill detail#, and rating would ALL be contained in that smart symbol, and entered across the schedule automatically.
I understand property sets, custom AEC tags, etc., but cannot seem to embed the properties mentioned above into a door and have it report automatically. I can create them and have them be manually edited, but since all of our doors have been highly standardized, we'd like to standardize the door schedule reporting too.
I've tried creating attribute definitions, multi-view doors, block doors, and profile based doors, but no luck.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to embed these values in an AEC Door content?
