if two people use a shared laptop, can one borrow the license and the other user use it? Or will two licenses need to be borrowed, one for each user?

yeah, they each want to use their own login. didn't think about using a shared login.

If you share a login, it will work. The license is tied to both the machine's MAC address and the username that is borrowed. So if either change, the borrowed license will be ignored.
