I am a new user of AutoCAD Architecture, had been using AutoCAD since R13. trying to do a layout for the first time, and the viewport tool bar does not seem to exist. ie: how does one create a new viewport in a layout, or like in AutoCAD, how does one create a polygon viewport? i am able to access the viewport tool bar when i use a profile i created with AutoCAD 2006, but Architecture 2008 doesn't seem to include this crucial tool?

anyone else run into the same problem?

Viewports tool bar is an AutoCAD feature not AC-Architectural. You can load
the AutoCAD toolbars via cui customization. Or, do it the easy way:
ACA command line _vports will produce viewports dialog box.
