I would like to create an automatic tag that will give the elevation of the bottom of a piece of steel. In particular I-shaped beams. In order to do this I need access to the depth of the steel. This is not available in the properties of the steel when I try to add an automatic property source. I know that the information is availabe cause I can see it in the Structural Member Catalog as the "A-Depth" column. Is there a way to access this information? I am sure that it involves scripting of sometype but I have no idea on where to start. I am new to scripting property definitions and this is my first project. Any help that can be given would be appreciated.
