I have spent years collecting and organizing my materials into folders that makes things easier to find (for myself) These folders are labeled simple things like "wood" or "stone ploshed" "stone rustic" "carpeting" "concete" etc etc.
In the program options,/ file/ texture maps/ search path this folder is listed
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials2011\assetlibrary_base.fbm\1\Mats
However, there are three folders filled with textures these begin with numbers 1, 2 & 3
If want to drag and drop my custom material folder into this shared folder, do I need to create a folder named 4, 5, 6 ...
What is the puprose of having this search path? Do I need it, or do I simpley refeference my original folder I created on the C drive every time I need to update a material texture location?
