How do you add a soldier course above a window in a wall type?

I have spent the last 3 hours trying to figure ths out.

How do you add a soldier course above a window in a wall type? Or add an accent panel (in elevation) of a different color brick within a wall type.

I have attached the elevation I am trying to create. I want to create the exterior walls with wall types. I have already made this panel with the curtainwall tool, but it looks horrendous in plan.

Life was much easier when all i had to do was draw lines. Now I need to build the entire building before I can even create a drawing that anyone can use. UGH!!!

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
