Different Default walls in AutoCAD Arch 2013

I'm running a lab in a school and when we draw walls some students have green walls, some have teal, some have wide hatch pattern, and some have tight hatch pattern.  They all sort of act differently when placing doors and windows in them and when you select them I can't find any difference between them on the Properties Palette.  Anyone know why the default would be different for each computer?

Are you sure all users are using the same wall style.

Are all users starting with the same drawing template.

Do all the users have the same display configuration e.g. low detail, medium detail, high detail etc.

Explain how the walls act differently when placing doors or windows.

If some show as green and some show as teal, do all the users have the same type of computer and graphics card.

Do all users have the same drawing scale set current?  2013 introduced annotative component hatch for ACA objects, including Walls.  If the Wall Style being used has an annotative hatch active (in either the Wall Style or in the Material Definition, if the display is being controlled by material), different drawing scales will result in different hatching.
