I am new to using native AutoCAD rendering, was using viz and viz-render but don’t have access to it anymore. This is my first try at an interior rendering using native AutoCAD rendering. I was asked to render a sketch of a kitchen interior, home owner design and somebody else in the office started the ACA model. Attached is a preliminary that was actually rendered in the “presentation” setting. The sun factor was set to about 50 to light up the interior, only lights in the scene are under the head cabinets. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what is causing the blotchy appearance in the shadows? And why do darker walls and the celling look black? Thanks.

Here is another try at the same scene. I don’t know what I am doing so I am learning trial by error. There is no one in this office that knows this stuff so I am on my own.
Things I have changed since the last attempt at this are:
• Cut the sun intensity back down from the 50’s to I think it was 4
• In “adjust exposure” I bumped the mid tones up from 1 to 4
• Messed with contrast and exposure in “adjust exposure” but I think I wound up basically back to default settings
• Set the energy multiplier from 1 to 2 to bump up the lights, I think it works on the sun too, not sure.
