The two default pages with the instructions on how to download the tutorials
come
from two .CHM files in the C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Architecture 2008\Help
directory. The two file names are "ADT_Imperial_Tutorial.chm" and
"ADT_Metric_Tutorial.chm", respectively. The files which are downloaded
that are
supposed to replace those two files are named "aca_Metric_Tutorial.chm" and
"aca_Imperial_Tutorial.chm", respectively. Since the file names are not the
same,
they do not replace the original files. This can easily enough be
accomplished
manually by either renaming or deleting the original .CHM files, and then
changing
the "aca" part of the new file names to "ADT". Once that is done, the
tutorials are
accessed perfectly as they were intended to be.
Credit to Zac Travis of the Autodesk Support Team for the above.
This worked for me so maybe it will for you too.

hey guys, i'm new to Arch 08, and i just downloaded the tutorial .zip from
the autodesk website. i've followed the instructions for unzipping the
files, as stated in the readme. however, every time i try to unzip the
"imperial_chm_and_pdf" folder to the correct spot in the "help" folder,
nothing happens. i get a prompt telling me that all files have been
unzipped successfully, my path is correct, but when i launch the help menu
and navigate to the tutorials, i get the default placeholder page instead!
has anyone else had this happen?
