hi all,
i ve noticed that when i switch to orthographic view i cannot render the view. i have only black render output. how to make a render in say top view or front?
There is a weird thing going on when you try to render a straight view or iso. It seems to want perspective.
Zooming in too close can cause black. Never seen a good explanation but think of it that you are too close and your end of the camera is past the subject.
By front do you mean straight on - no perspective?
By Top you mean the same?
When you go to the top ACA swaps the display to a plan view which has no 3D. Good for export to engineer! There is a trick to messing with display reps to assign a model view of objects to a new plan view (don't mess with existing). I do this to do a quick shadow render (for planning subission). This allows you to render a plan view without perspective and give you 3d items to render. But plans look good with some perspective anyway.
