i have a file that contains over 7,000 unused line types that will not purge. they are from imported dwg files.
i tried the fix below, but was told "file not found". any other methods available?
Hi Jim,
I understand you're trying to purge several thousand unreferenced linetypes from your file. It does sound like something the DGN Purge tool will probably fix.
When you say you were told "file not found", do you mean when you tried to download the tool from the Autodesk website? Or when you tried to load the utility into AutoCAD Architecture?
Which version of the program are you using?
Hi Jim,
Here is the appropriate link to download the tool: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=22002791&linkID=9240658
It should download as a zip file. You'll want to read the ReadMe thoroughly to make sure you place the files in the correct locations, and then load the tool correctly. Let me know if you have any trouble with this.
Hi Jim,
I'm sorry to hear this didn't fix the issue. Could you possibly attach the file here? It's difficult to tell what's going on without seeing the file, and I'd be happy to take a look at it for you. If the file is too large to attach here, you could post a Dropbox (or other file sharing) link.
Hi Jim,
You should be able to provide a direct link, as outlined here under "Share Link Using the Website". (It also states that you can remove the link at a later date, if you're concerned about file privacy.)
