curtain wall and door/window assembly issue

I am having issues with the curtain wall style and door/window assembly resetting to default after I make some changes....

What I did:
1-created a curtain wall and merged 2 cells together for the door/window assembly to go....
2. Made the bottom infill spandrel panel using infill overide
3. placed the assembly using infill overide.
4. changed the default infill location to be 1" from the edge of the curtain wall

after doing this the curtain wall style seems to just reset itself.. the spandrel infil is gone and the door/window assembly is back to just the standard style.....

How do i stop this from happening? I hope this makes sense.

thanks

Are you placing a curtain wall object, then editing it in place to add the overrides you described? If so, you need to save the overrides back to the style if you want them to be part of the style, applied to all future uses of the style.

If not, a more detailed description of what you are doing - and, if possible, a sample file - would help us help you.
