back up files

Where are the back up files usually stored? I need a drawing that I worked
on several days ago.

the only backup files that ACA makes are the ones it creates when you do a
save. I believe every two times you push the save command it creates a
backup of that file. It should be in the same location as the DWG, but with
a .BAK. You might get lucky and find a autosave file or maybe a BAK in the
temp directory. check here C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Local
Settings\Temp

If you turned on BAK file creation in Options, you will find it in the same
folder as the DWG. Unless you installed Express Tools and used MOVEBAK
command to locate them elsewhere.

If you crashed out of ACA, the default location for the crash recovery file
is in the Temp folder located under your Windows Profile>Local Settings
folder (Go to Options>Files tab>Temp Drawing File Location might point to
the folder as well).

Then of course there is your backup from last night, and any live backup
system you may have running as well.
