attach regular Dimensions to walls and doors

I have used the AEC dimensions and they are cool and all, but I find them a bit difficult to adjust. Is there any way to attach regular dimensions to walls so that when you move a wall that has had a dimension snapped to it, the dimension will increase (or decrease) as well.

This might be easy, but I can't get it.
