Zoom Acting Strange in ACA 2012

I am creating a 3d model in ACA 2012.  When I try to zoom in tight on an area my back ground screen color gradually changes from black to a light grey.  The color change makes it very difficult to see the objects that I am trying to work with.  Once I have stopped zooming the color chagne stays untill I zoom back out.  Is there anyway to stop this screen color change while zooming?  Also while working on a 3d model while zooming the zoom does not center around my cursor like it does while working in 2d.  I constatntly have to stop zomming and use pan to recenter the area I want to zoom to then go back to zooming.  Can this be fixt?

Thanks, Todd

Hi Todd,

From what you are describing, I think you might be in perspective mode. Right-pick the view cube and select parallel.

Yes! That fixed it.  Thank you very much!
