Window depth display issue

So I have a multi-component wall style, 5.5" STUD over 8" CMU, kinda typical. The windows are taking the width of the 8" CMU and not the 5.5" STUD component they reside in. I have tried to anchor window in STUD but the sill continues to depict the CMU width....
any solutions?
