Why am I getting exclamation marks on my Entities in the CUI?

Please see the attached CUI.  I am having trouble switching the double-click action for the hatch.  For some reason all the entities show an exclamation mark and when I switch the hatch to hatch edit rather than properties, it never stays.  I hope that the CUI is not corrupt.  It is stored locally.
