how do I change the font a space tag?

Generally tags will use the font of the text style that is current
at the time you insert the tag.
You can also go into the style drawing that contains the tag and change
the font.

This is controlled in the properties of the tag tool, for tool-based tags, or in the AEC Content settings, for old-style AEC-Content-based tags. (If you are using 2008 out-of-the-box content -or- have created custom tags using the Define Schedule Tag wizard, you are using tool-based tags.)
