Styles from 2011 to 2012

How do I get my dimension styles, door styles, window styles, etc. from Architectural 2011 to 2012?  I migrated but I don't see where it brought my styles over.

the best is at the beach!

Save your originals and then copy the 2011 styles to 2012 folder. I assume that you know where the folder is?

In case if there are any specific style that you want to bring up to your new 2012 project then you may also use ADC (Autodesk design center)

  1. ·        Open old as well as new files on 2012.
  2. ·         Launch Autodesk design center by the command “ADC”.
  3. ·         Under folder tab you will see both the files with their styles.
  4. ·         Just drag and drop the required style from old DWG on to the new file.

Hope this helps

The Folders tab of the ADC can be used to transfer AutoCAD styles, but not ACA object styles, between files.  Use Style Manager to do that, if you need to do so.
