Does anyone have experience with the "perimeter" automatic property value of a slab object being wrong?
A slab with an object property set attached can display the automatic "perimeter" value. The property data format and property set definition associated with the slab style have been checked with no unit problems noted.
With the slab selected and viewing the automatic perimeter value displayed on the entity properties, this following is observed:
Rectangular slabs show the correct value.
Polygonal slabs with straight segments show the correct value.
However, as soon as arc segments are introduced into the slab, the perimeter value is no longer the expected outcome (comparing to a polyline overlayed to the exact shape).
In one instance of a slab containing 3 arcs (all separated by intervening straight segments), the perimeter value displayed is only 32' vs. the 162' expected (measured).
By the way, the more arc segments there are, or the larger the arc segment is, the greater the discrepancy in the perimeter value.
Any thoughts?
