STEP to IFC

Hello,

I am a new user to AutoCAD Arch. I have to convert STEP files to IFC , but I have the problem handling the IFC properties and specifications. I just import the STEP file and copy-paste the IFC specifications file from the Styles-folder into the actual drawing, but the specification tab doesn't appear in my tools-properties window. After STEP is being imported it is shown as a Block object. Should I convert it to something or BURST it or _EXPLODE the geometry?? If I export the drawing the way it is as IFC, the geometry explodes and the IFC properties are empty. This means I have to assign the IFC properties from the Style Manager somehow to my object..I do probably ask a stupid and easy question..
