Roof Plans

I am in the process of doing our first project using AutoCad architecture! Everything seems to be working out great except for our roof plans. I really don't know how I'm going to accomplish the current look of our drawing with out tracing the existing walls.

So my question is... How does every one else go about drawing their roof plans?

Attached is a PDF of what our roof plans look like completed. (This is not ADT or ACA08, just vanilla AutoCad.)

If the walls are all you are concerned about and you are using the project
navigator then bring your walls into the view that you want displayed. You
might have to separate them into there own construct and you might want to
have your roof plan in a different display config and change the wall style
to display as you want. Personally I start out the project with a construct
that is the outline of the project that is not assigned to any level so I
can bring it in at what ever elevation the construct is and use it to draw
roofs, basement walls ect. Then I can use that to show outlines of the
project for sheets like site plans, roof plans and second floor plans to
illustrate how the second floor overlaps the first. It also comes in handy
for changes. On larger projects I will may have an outline for all the
different levels.

One other thing. You can change the display of the roof or roof slabs to
show the baseline. It would be a single line, but it would work.
