Railing Displays

I've created a "shell" construct - 4 story condos. I have a bunch of "french balconys" where a set of double doors open in, with a railing on the outside. They are randomly placed on multiple floors.

I have anchored the railing to the door, but ALL the railings are showing up no matter what cut plane I have.

I've tried all the display settings in the style manager, but am still having all the railings show up. If I attach the railing to a stair, it behaves correctly. But when attached to another object it doesn't.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm using Architecture 2008

This has been logged as a defect. The only thing you can do at this time is
to put the railings on layers for each level and turn off the layers to get
the desired result.

Hope this helps,

Railings have never obeyed cut planes unless they're anchored to a stair. I've complained about this with every new release, but Adesk seem either unwilling or unable to fix it.

Railings like stairs usually belong to two levels.
I think it's been logged as a defect for a number of releases now?
Be great to be able to get some of these legacy defects dealt with.
Maybe in 10!

So I am on Autocad ACA 2015 and railings that are not attached to stairs still do not obey cut planes. This issue is still not fixed. Am I right?
