Object Enablers (AutoCAD Architecture 2008 English to AutoCAD 2006 Chinese)

We are collaborating with a Chinese LDI (Local Design Institute) on a project and we are using an English version of AutoCAD Architecture 2008 to draw walls doors and windows. The LDI is using a Chinese version of plain-old AutoCAD 2006 and they have installed the [Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2006 Object Enabler|http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=5501450&linkID=9240618]. We have the entire office set to save to AutoCAD 2004 file format for compatibility, however the LDI does not see our walls, doors and windows after installing the Object Enabler.

Does anyone have any experience with this specific issue and know of any possible resolution? We would prefer that the LDI is able to open and view our drawings without further conversion each time we exchange files.

Thank you for any help.

You both need to be using the same file format if you want your
collaborators to be able to see your AEC content. The file format
changed in 2007 so either they need to upgrade or you need to move back
a couple of versions.

They don't have proxygraphics or proxyshow on, neither do you. Both ( that
is you and them, one sided is not going to work) of you do so now, resave
and exchange files. Turning on visual fidelity in 2008 may help as well.

After that, if still nothing, you may have hit the wall noted by John above
or exchange "dumb" 2D drawings by having you use -EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command or
them downloading and using the free viewer to do the same to your files at
their end:
