MS TRACKBALL EXPLORER PROBLEMS WITH PAN

I cannot get my MS Trackball Explorer to pan properly.

I'm now using my newly purchased macbook pro with bootcamp for AutoCad (I'm a first year landscape architecture grad student in a 3yr. program - no prior AutoCad experience). I installed a new driver from Microsoft for Vista Home Premium. No matter what I change the mouse options buttons to I cannot seem to get the pan function to work. What settings should I be using? I'm about to cry - I love this mouse! and it has always worked great with all the other (non-drawing) programs I use. I know it should work. What am I doing wrong?!

Current Button Settings:
Button Settings:
Lower: Click(default)
Upper: Double click
Wheel: Zoom IN (I've tried all kinds of setting for this function)
Top Left: Right Click
Top right: Next Window (I've tried all kinds of settings here as well!)

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED I WILL HAPPILY CHANGE ANY BUTTONS TO HAVE IT WORK PROPERLY WITH AUTOCAD!

I have a Generic Button that I had to set to Other in order to get Pan to work with a new keyboard.

Many thanks for taking the time to respond!

I was sent the following fix that has my Microsoft Trackball Explorer working perfectly!

Wheel = middle button or autoscroll

MBUTTONPAN in AutoCAD set to 1 as well.
