I've changed a setting or something and can't change it back

So I dont know how, but a couple of days ago while I was drafting, I must have clicked some extra keys or something

because now when I try to individually select multiple lines the program alternates [as in releases one to grab the

other] instead of simplying adding that line to those already highlighted. Its very fustrating as I like to type in my

shortcuts of the commands and like to draft at a quick pace. Does anyone know what I did or how to change it

back? I'm also all for resetting the "defults" if it means fixing the problem.
