File Open Question

I´m using Autocad Architecture 2008 and windows Vista with sp1 installed.
When i use the file open in Autocad, the icons always appear in thumbnails. I change it, do a refresh and close the dialog box.
If i make the open command again the icons appear again in thumbnails.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks

Does Windows Explorer show icon/thumbnails, or does it display as you want
OPEN to display?

I can not explain why, or offer a solution, but I can offer the observation that every time I have used a version of AutoCAD/ADT with a version of Windows that came out after that version of AutoCAD/ADT, I have found that the display of the file dialogs reverts to a list display, sorted by name, and I have to reset it to my preferred mode each time I start AutoCAD/ADT.
