Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0015 Exception at...

I receive this error every time I attempt to open the ACA 2012 program (part of BDS Premium 2012). I've received similar messages before, but they were always related to .NET and simply rebooting the machine eliminated the error. This time, no such luck.

I also attempted to disable Digital Signatures using the acsignopt option. No luck there either.

I ran a repair on AutoCAD Architecture 2012 from the Control Panel. This resolved the issue, but I'm stuck re-setting all of my custom settings. I'm still curious how to resolve this issue otherwise.

This same issue occurred today. I cannot open the program without receiving a Fatal Error message.

This may then require a clean reinstallation according to the technical document listed in the link below.  Once this is done please refer to the second technical document to perform a clean reinstallation of the software to overcome this issue fully.

Try "Partial Open" for your file. Sometimes it's useful...

This is not an option. "Partial Open..." is only available after the program is opened. With this error, AutoCAD will not start.

At this point, anyone following this post may want to know the "solution" that we have used. We uninstalled "Sketchbook Designer for AutoCAD 2012" from the systems and have not had the issue since. So far the systems are stable again as it has been about a month since the original issue occurred. We are hopeful that this was a final solution.

Our problem has been submitted to Autodesk for review of a potential confllict between the two programs.
