My company recently purchased a copy of AutoCAD Architecture 2008. We are considered an educational facility and are eligible for discounts that are applicable to said status. We are using the software in our facilities department to do conceptual designs of new facilities, not to teach children with, so we need to have a version of the software that will NOT leave the “educational use” watermark since our conceptual drawings get passed along to our architect for final modifications and approval.
With that said, when I finally got our ACA 08 up and running yesterday, I noticed that it says “AutoCAD Architecture 2008 – EDUCATIONAL VERSION” at the very top of the screen. When I do a test plot, so far I DO NOT get the “educational use” watermark but I’m still concerned. When I asked my reseller about this issue I got “well, I’m pretty sure you’ll be OK”, and “pretty sure” is just not going to cut it. AutoDesk support I've spoken with so far says it WILL watermark the drawings but it isn't right now.
Is this version different from a "student version? Can anyone help me out w/ a solid answer on this? I feel like a ping pong ball!
Thanks in advance.
