In AutoCAD Architecture 2013, you could type the full layer name in the above circled location, and it would find your required layer - allowing you to change the layer of your selected item.
In AutoCAD Architecture 2014 this is not the case. It currently takes you to the first layer with the number you type.
The issue lies in that we have hundreds of layers that start with the same number.
For example:
618S
618R10
615S
624R20
So since the layers sort alpha numeric, we have to manually scroll through a hundred or so layers to get to what we want.
Is there a setting that can alleviate this?
If this "Bug" or "standard" was known, it would have prevented us from upgrading as it reduces our efficiency by nearly 100%.
Thank you for your time!

Hi Jason,
The AutoCAD development team is tracking this issue. The workaround for now is to use the layer drop-down menu on the ribbon to type in a layer name and select it.
