Change Plot Styles Path via script?

Good day,

We are currently in a transition between two different companies. Our AutCad standards are going to change and so do they plot style network paths (different servers, letter names),

Since there are around 200 users that need this change implemented, i thought there must be a better, easier way other than going to every single computer and change the plot style paths manually.

Is there perhaps a configuration file in Autocad installation folder that contains these paths or a registry entry that can be changed by a log in script?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Instead of change the plot file path for every computer,
Why don't you ask IT to create a same drive and same folder structure as the old one? It takes just a few minutes...

And after that, you can change 200 computers one by one whenever you like.

If only it was that easy. Unfortunately, the other company has their own drives and their own structure that we will have to embrace. Seems like i am going to go computer by computer.

There's an easier solution to this. Create a standard profile that's accessed via the /p switch in your desktop shortcut. Then you can have as many shortcuts as you need file structures for your clients, each named by client to reduce confusion.

Your users won't like it initally because it will mean learning to use workspaces and the CUI interface to keep the look of their stations between profile switches. Since you didn't know about (or perhaps forgot about) profiles, brush up on how to do this. Teach them how to do it as well before implementing the switch and you should have fewer headaches.
