Can AutoCAD Architecture save to ADT 2005?

Can AutoCAD Architecture save to ADT 2005?

If I open a file created with ADT 2005 and fool around with it in 2012, can I save it back to 2005 format?

You can save back to the AutoCAD 2004 format, but the ACA objects will NOT be usable in ADT 2005 and their presence will prevent the ADT 2005 user from making use of any ADT commands.

You can export back to the AutoCAD 2004 format, but that will explode ACA objects down to lines, circles, arcs, etc.

There is no way to share ACA objects with versions using an earlier file format.

thanks.

seems like this makes it hard to designers to work with other designers using different versions of autocad.

It's one of their ploys to make you want to pay the money to upgrade.
