Anno scale crash

In model space I want to do a dimension string. My anno scale(in model space) is set to 1/8" scale, I want it to be 1/16" When I change it Autocad freezes. I have tried:

Propertypreview = 0

selectionannodisplay = 0

I have copied everything out of one drawing and put it into a new sheet.

purged and audited every drawing and x-ref associated.

restarted

I work around it for now, but this is not exactly how i want to work with autocad.

It doesn't happen often, but when it does I have found that setting the scale to 1:1 first then to your newly desired scale works.

Unless your file has errors and issues of course, then your 'workaround' is one of many fixes for that other problem.

That actually works. (selecting 1:1 and then the scale I want)

I am assuming it has something to do with the file being created in 2012, I don't know. I did try copying everything to a new 2014 empty drawing, and that didn't change. Oh well, this work around is better than mine, so i will go with that.
