3D objects not smooth

ACA 2011

I went to the solids menu and created a cylinder. the cylinder was not round...it was basically an octogon. What is the setting that controls the smoothness of solids?

If this is an AutoCAD solid, use the VIEWRES command to control the display of the curves.  If it is an ACA Mass Element, then FACETDEV will control the display of the curves (along with FACETMAX).

VIEWRES asks if you want fast zooms (a non-functional options kept in for script compatibility - just press ENTER), then asks for circle zoom percent.  Enter an integer between 1 and 20000.  The larger the number, the smoother the curve.  There may be an impact on regenration time for high values.

ACA Mass Elements are displayed with facets, rather than true curves.  FACETDEV is the maximum distance allowed between the midpoint of a facet and the true curve.  The smaller the number, the greater the number of facets will be used and the greater the apparent smoothness.
