Attached is a brain dump (doc and pdf formats) with information on property
data enhancements in ADT 2004. Probably of special interest to most of you
is the information about creating formula property definitions.

    Enjoy!!

A bit of history, if you are interested:

At the time when Scott Arvin originally posted the Brain Dump, attachments were not permitted in all Discussion Groups; he posted the Brain Dump here because this was the one ADT group [or possibly one of two - I can not remember if the Content Discussion Group was active at that time] that permitted attachments.

As a followup question to an old thread [over three years ago] that was posted in this group due to the attachment limitations of that time, you may find that you get a better response by posting future customization-related questions to new threads in the Autodesk Architectural Desktop Customization Discussion Group:

    Web browser: http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum.jspa?forumID=54
    Newsreader: news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.aec.arch-desktop.customization

So far as I know, you can not call an external VB function from within a Formula Property. There also appears to be an issue with using VBScript within a Formula Property to retrieve usable point values. See
    http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?threadID=482490
for more specifics on the problem I had had, and note the lack of response.

Having read all the topics and links it appears that no one has found a way to do it yet!

    Is that right?

I have never gotten it to work. If others have, they are not sharing their secrets.
