I use Autocad since version 2.0 and it's the firs time that I don,t find an answer for a problem.
My THUMBSAVE value is 1.
Still not showing a preview of the dwg.
Did you open it with the 2013 Version, or it was opened with the 2012, or earlier.
This usually happen trying to preview earlier release files.
The file has to be opened before, so it can generate a preview later one.
I use Autocad 2013 with Windows 7 (64b).
When I'm in explorer and select a file for starting Autocad, I can see the file in the preview area.
But when Autocad is open, I can't see no more file because the preview window does not exist.
Reinitializing the user profile was the solution.
One of the profiles of AutoCAD Mechanical was corrupt.
Thanks for your collaboration
What setting or variable does this? Our Open Preview is missing too. If I set the profile to the <<unnamed>> then I get the preview pane during the open dialog box. Otherwise I don't. I remember (ages ago) some utility that compared settings in drawings or profiles.... anyone remember what that is?
This worked for me!
- Check that next key in the registry is setup = 1: KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.0\A
(Of course some paths were a bit different. The thing to look for is your Profile)
Seems there should be a variable or setting of some sort in AutoCAD for this.
I have this problem but the other way around!
The preview shows the drawing but as the file is open it is not there! What is shown in the preview is not on the file (screenshot is attached)!
What might be the issue here?
I am having the same problem. The file will preview but when I open it is blank. Tried to put in a ticket but couldn't because there wasn't an option to pick a program. GRRRRRR. Any help is greatly appreciated.
