Hello
I`m inexperienced at the moment.I have started a sketch but if i change dimensions say on the long thin rectangle the sketch falls apart..Also if i change a dimension on the top section of the sketch the lines move....what am i not doing

Hi,
because the top section is not bound to the lower one, with other words it's not fully contrained.
BTW: please use the modelspace to design your model (not the paperspace/layout).

Are you familiar with parametric geometry constriants and dimensions?

Hi
Is there a command on the screen which advises whether the sketch is fully constrained or how many constraints are needed to fully constrain
Regards

Auto Constrain will tell you how many were missing.
But really - you should know what needs to be constrained (there is no auto-constrain out on the shop floor).
You have a lot of repeated dimensions - use symmetry and equal constraints. Use geometry constraints before parametric dimensions.
