    I forgot to attach the modified drawing.

     

    I set up a basic layout arrangement.  The viewport layer is now set to non-printing.  The viewport is set to 1" = 1'-0" scale.  I will leave it to you to check that it is locked to prevent zooming and panning by mistake.  Always make sure DIMASSOCIATE = 2 so that you can dimension in the paperspace layout without having to change dimscales and other settings.

    DIMASSOC =2

    or he'll be looking for DIMASSOCIATE variable.
