Draw line from 0,0 to 100,0
draw a 2x2 rectangle
sweep the rectangle along the (flat) line.
orbit the viw some so you can see the end rectangle.
ID on one of the rectangle verticies, the z values are not 1.0 or -1.0, but 1.05 and -.94
The swept shape is lifted up a bit from what it should be.
I replicated this in 2009 too, so its been around a long time.
Isolines setting does not matter here, its all flat and straight stuff.
I'm not getting an out-of-plane condition, but you are right, the resulting sweep isn't "centered" on the path as would be expected. It doesn't seem to happen if the profile is already aligned with the path, or if a basepoint is specified.
the only i can replicate your outcome is to draw the path on the xy plane. Try rotating your ucs and draw the square on the xy plane at 90 degrees to your original xy plane then sweep
oh, interesting point.
I draw the shape programatically so that should not be hard.
