AutoCAD 2013/2014 DWG Format

I have windows 7, 64 bit.

Installed Acad2013 and Acad2012.

When I go to FILE and OPEN and tag a file in Acad2013 the PREVIEW field background is white. It is very difficult to see a thumbnail, but in Acad2012 the PREVIEW field background is black and much easer to see the thumbnail. I tried to change colors under the OPTION, DISPLAY tab with no luck. Is there a way to change the PREVIEW field background?

What color is your drawing background in model and/or paper space? Mine is black in model space...and so are my previews. FYI.

It seems to me I have to save the file, and quit the drawing. Then the background in the Preview field is black. Do you know what that is?

Are there other users in your group that have access to these same drawings?  If so, do they use different color schemes than you?  The thumbnail image will reflect the settings of the last person to save the file.  I know here, one user used to use some weird blue for his background, and all of the thumbnails of files he saved are impossible to see.

I have same problem,

I think problem is about AutoCAD 2012,

Because Windows Explorer show preview AutoCAD 2012 file with white background, AutoCAD 2013 files background is normal.

Sorry for the delay but the reason the field is a white background is because the first time you open a file in Acad2013 from a file that you worked on in Acad2012 the field will be white. After you save the file in Acad2013 and reopen the same file the field will be a black.
