    Leaders in dynamic blocks

I created a dynamic block that contains a quick leader.  The problem I have is when I go to my layout views the leader in the block does not show up.  If I edit the block, change the layer of the leader and save it then the leader will show up in viewports.  Other parts of the block are on the same layer and show up, it is just the leader for some reason.  Any ideas?  Has anyone else had this experience?

What layer does the leader start out on, and then what layer do you change it to when it shows up? Are the block and the layer in the same drawing, or is it an xref? Are you using annotative scales? This will give us a much clearer picture of what may be happening.

I have everything in the block on layer "0" now. I can change it to any other layer and it shows up. Before I had it all on "0", it was on the dimension layer with the same issue. I could go in and change it to 'text' layer and then it would show up. It is a block, not an xref. Yes I use annotative scales.....but I had the same issue before I started using annotative scales.

Does it show up when you print? Here in our office, there are some blocks, text, etc. that don't show up on the screen, but they show up fine in the print preview or when we print them (even to a pdf).

    Hi,

Can you post the block or a sample drawing so that we can take a look at it?

    Cheers!

    Volker

I made a copy of the annotative dimension style which was applied to the leader. The new style is non-annotative. The original annotative style had a 1:1 annotative scale assigned to it. Since the leader was nested in the block it would not update when you applied new annotation scales. It worked fine for me, please test it and let me know.

    Cheers!
