    Help with ShapeFiles!

I have a data set including .shx .shp .prj and .dbf files each named the same for landuse, rail, road, etc for a single city. How can I open these files to export a simple line drawing for use in a thesis project as a map. (see files attached)

Any help would be much appreciated as I have never worked with these files before!

    Hi,

    >> How can I open these files to export a simple line drawing

If you have Map3D use command _MAPIMPORT to get the shape-content imported into your drawing and converted to AutoCAD geometry-types ... or use _DATACONNECT to get the shape-data referenced/visualized in your current drawing.

Find attached a drawing, but take care of projectionsystem and units for you!

This dataset is in WGS84 (Lat/Long) coordinates centered about Lon 78.0°, Lat 27.2° which hits in the ocean east of Longyearbyen ?  I have attached the drawing in the lat/lon coordinates.
