I get the following error message when I try to start AutoCAD 2013 as a user.
Error 1325. 'username' is not a valid short file name.
It runs fine as Administrator.
We are on a domain with roaming profiles.
Windows 7 64 bit.
Any suggestions??

Hi,
is it the first time you start AutoCAD with your account?
If you look into the folder C:\USERS ==> do you see your account-name here? Do you have full access-rights within your folder?
Some reports out in the www say you have to update the "Windows Installer" but I would first as the admin, if you can have (for a short test-time) full local admin-rights, then also turn off UAC and try again.

Hopefully will have time next week to try "full local admin rights". Will see what happens then. Thanks.

We are now seeing the same thing on our users. We have the same setup as you, except we are using folder redirection rather than roaming profiles. Did you ever find a solution to this?

We are certainly going to look into this as an option.
