AutoCAD 2013/2014 DWG Format

In AutoCAD 2013, when I try to select a dimension object for moving, erasing, &c, the text disappears. Any idea how to get it to stay displayed?  Seems to just be when using AutoCAD 2013.

can you upload that drawing (at least these dimension and it's base object) so we also can try to select the object?

Here's a drawing file.

I think I figured out the cause (but not the soluion, well maybe I've got one). When textmasking (Text Fill Color) is set to background, the text disappears. This could be a change from 2012 to 2013 or it could be because I have an older graphics card.

I checked on another machine with a different graphics card and the text doesn't disappear.

I need a new machine anyway.  Hey Boss....

same to me, opening your drawing and selecting any of the dimension does not result in text disappearing.

The difference may be that I have installed SP1.1, have you installed it also?

And yes, it may be the graphics card or driver, to make it easier for your gc try if the same issue araises if you have disabled the hardware acceleration (command _3DCONFIG ==> manual tune)

I did try with and without the hardware acceleration.  Same thing.

Probably time to go talk to the boss.  He has the same graphics card as I do, but 2013 isn't offical in the office yet.

just to make sure: have you installed SP1.1?

For you and your boss if SP1.1 repairs the issue: better then investing into a new computer maybe to invest into your salary

Anyway SP1.1 is on the machine.
