Hi there,
Can someone please tell me how to browse files when I click on open...
I want to click on "open", or type "open", then a window has to pop up where I can browse and open any .dwg on my computer. This I used to be able to do, but suddenly stoped working for some reason (I must have changed the settings by accident)
Now what it wants me to do when I click or type open, I have to give an exact path of where the file is that I want to open... I have attached a photo for yous to see what happens.

In addition to the advice already given, it may be helpful to know that when FILEDIA is turned off (set to zero), typing the "tilde" character (~), followed by <Enter> will bring up the browse window. (Some AutoCAD users work in an environment where FILEDIA is deliberately turned off by an administrator, or by poorly written automation such as AutoLISP, so having this knowledge can be quite valuable.)
