Hello fellow AutoCAD minions...
We use AutoCAD 2013 and Plant 3D extensively at our office. I've always had one problem or another with AutoCAD and Plant 3D playing well with each other thru the object enabler. We use ORTHOCREATE for Plant 3D dwgs and VIEWBASE for most everything else. Our problem occurs when trying to get AutoCAD to VIEWBASE Plant 3D objects - for example, generating a general arrangement plan showing Plant 3D piping. The AutoCAD objects show up fine, just not the Plant 3D stuff. I can see it attached as an Xref, but it doesn't appear in the VIEWBASE drawing view. Am I missing something, or is this going to be fixed???
BTW: The reason we would like this to work is so anyone can do dwgs showing Plant 3D objects on their backgrounds.
Anxiously awaiting a solution...

This is actually a know issue that our development team issue currently working on to address. I would suggest to try to EXPORTTOAUTOCAD your Plant 3D drawings and then bring them into AutoCAD and try the VIEWBASE command.
